ABC News finds itself, like all television-centered news organizations, in a make-or-break moment — and staffers are nervous.

On Monday morning, at ABC News' daily editorial meeting, network chief Almin Karamehmedovic took a moment to mark the five-year anniversary of ABC News Live, the outlet's advertising-supported streaming service. Karamehmedovic said some nice words about the FAST channel, which ABC News continues to expand the programming of, offering its teams a big congratulations on the milestone.

Not Even the Baier Minimum: Bret Baier is back to conducting chummy sit-downs with Donald Trump. The Fox News anchor — who once put on a masterclass in how to interview the lie-peddling Republican — lobbed a series of softballs at the president for the pre-Super Bowl interview, much of which aired Monday evening on Baier's show. While the pre-game interview is always a little less hard-hitting than a normal interview, there was plenty to press Trump on as he dismantles parts of the U.S. government, exacts retribution on his critics, and floats unprecedented land grabs.
But instead of confronting Trump with tough questions, Baier mostly just engaged in a friendly chat with him.
