Hollywood media mogul Jay Penske and supermodel Elaine Irwin are divorcing.

“We have been best friends in marriage for 14 years and will now continue our lives independently,” Penske and Irwin told me in a joint statement on Tuesday. “We will remain best friends as we raise our daughter and carry the love and respect for each other and our family forward.”

Penske, 45, and Irwin, 55, married in 2012 and welcomed their daughter in 2013.

The couple’s separation, which has not been previously reported, quietly occurred more than a year ago, a person familiar with the matter told me. The divorce will not have a material business impact on the Penske Media Corporation, the person added.
