Nuzzi and the Lawyers

Lawyers hired by Vox Media pressed the New York magazine star about her relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The future of Olivia Nuzzi's career is hanging in the balance.

Earlier this week, while Washington and New York media circles digested explosive hacking allegations Nuzzi made in a court filing against ex-fiancé and POLITICO Playbook co-author Ryan Lizza (which he denied), Nuzzi had just been treated to a grilling from a white-shoe law firm Vox Media hired to conduct a third-party review into her conduct, people familiar with the matter told me.

Lawyers with the law firm, Davis Wright Tremaine, pressed Nuzzi on Tuesday afternoon for hours with a series of direct — and likely difficult-to-answer — questions about the inappropriate relationship she carried out for eight months with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I’m told. A spokesperson for Vox Media declined to comment and a representative for Nuzzi did not respond to a request for one.
